Diorama Extravaganza!
Students in the Red Panda group were asked to design a model that simulates the preferred living conditions of a
red panda which worked towards achieving learning goal #6.

Examine the importance of retaining our wetlands, investigate how severe are the threats facing the plants and bird life in the area of wetland and use this information to persuade people in our community so we can restore a ‘healthy’ wetland ecosystem.

Identify the impact that poaching has on wildlife, examine
existing laws on animal poaching, and recommend ways how the community can help
with saving endangered through artwork.

Create and design artwork that supports and raises awareness
towards anti-poaching and donate it to Auckland Zoo so our community can see
the damaging effects of poaching towards endangered wildlife.
